The NH Barbizon Palace is one of Amsterdam's most distinctive hotels, built around nineteen 17th century houses. All rooms were renovated in 2001 and the hotel is acclaimed for its friendly service. There are two restaurants; Restaurant Vermeer, a well known, formal restaurant with its “l’art culinair” and the more informal Hudson’s Terrace & Restaurant. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the main entertainment and shopping areas.
