Built in 1829, The Howard is made up of three Georgian town houses, carefully restored, maintaining many of the original features. Visitors to the 18 bedroom Howard are received as guests in a private home where the ambience of the welcoming entrance hall and the drawing room with its elaborate crystal chandelier reflect the residential atmosphere. The Howard is a small gem of a hotel and an integral part of the largest classified historical monument in Britain - yet is only minutes walk from Princes Street.
