The charming Hermitage Hotel, rebuilt by Napoleon III and restored in 2002, is located in the heart of the historic walled town of Montreuil Sur Mer. Victor Hugo was inspired to write the novel "Les Miserables" whilst staying in this pretty town with its cobbled streets and ramparts which offer superb views of the surrounding countryside.
