The BAUBLE is a period property carefully modernised, and lies on the edge of the picturesque Hamlet of Higham, between the rivers Brett and Stour, in the heart of Dedham Vale made famous by John Constable in his paintings. Flatford Mill is close by, as are many wool villages with their churches and antique shops.
Newmarket, the home of racing, Cambridge and Norwich are within an hours drive; so too are Aldeburgh, for the Festival, Snape Maltings, Minsmere Bird Sanctuary and various coastal resorts.
In Sudbury, Gainsborough's House is open to the public, and Sir Alfred Munning's paintings can be seen at his house in Dedham. Colchester, England's oldest recorded town and its Castle must not be forgotten. If you are interested in gardens, Beth Chatto's is close by, along with many National Trust properties.
Whilst the area caters for almost every interest, guests are also invited to relax in one and half acres of lovely gardens, play tennis or swim in the heated pool.
