Further details:

Eyarth Station is a fine old example of railway history. The last train to run along the tracks at Eyarth was in 1964 when the line was closed. Since then the Station has been sympathetically converted retaining such features as its ticket office and platform. Today a warm and friendly atmosphere prevails at Eyarth Station with beamed ceilings, antique furniture and cosy log fire in the sitting room.

Eyarth Station has six bedrooms with a choice of family, double or twin rooms, all of which have their own private en-suite facilities. All are tastefully furnished with fine country views. There are also ground floor bedrooms available. A choice of breakfast and country suppers are served in the dining room overlooking the magnificent views to the back of the house.

After a days walking or touring our lovely countryside what better than to be invited to relax with some good home cooking (special diets are also catered for) and a glass of our carefully selected wines and spirits from the bar, or simply read or watch television in the comfortable lounge. Guests are welcome to use the private sun-terrace to the rear and the heated swimming pool whenever the weather permits.

Whilst this area is renowned for its abundance of wildlife and scenic walks, there are also several historic houses, beautiful gardens and lake trips to make nearby. We can also arrange riding, fishing, shooting, golf or mini safari tours. We are centrally located for touring the Roman city of Chester, Snowdonia, Llangollen, Bala and all the North Wales Coast.

Male Voice Choirs - Cor Meibion Cymru

To listen to the singing or a genuine Welsh choir is a unique and moving experience. The famous Welsh Male Voice Choirs were born of the community spirit forged in the coalmines and ironworks of the South Wales Valleys and the quarries of the North. These choirs are still as active as ever. Most Welsh choirs are happy to allow members of the public to drop in on rehearsals - often as stirring and enjoyable as a full-scale concert but with the added interest of finding out what goes on behind the scenes.

We hold a complete list of all the rehearsals and concerts and will be happy to give you full details.

Eyarth Station has been a Country Guest House for many years during which time we have enjoyed the company of many nationalities and have received the most heart warming thanks with many return visits. We take pride in our home and the care of our guests and we are sure you will enjoy your stay in our converted railway station.
